New Day, Next Phase!
My youngest is GRADUATING high school! Some might think, “Okay, good for you, I guess” but when you’ve been a homeschooling/working mom for nearly twenty years, it’s a big deal! I’m really proud of my kids and the grownups (gulp) they’ve become and I’d do it all again. Thankfully though, I don’t have to! Which means it’s time for another pivot. I now have more flexibility for my practice & professional growth, so I will be making some minor changes that benefit us all.
First, I am adding more session times to my overall schedule. If you have a “usual” time or day that you’d like to change, now is a great time to look at switching it up! Days and hours from Monday to Saturday will fluctuate to allow for more appointment options with time for in-depth session work and discussion without overwhelming myself.
I am also accepting a limited number of new referred clients, for a limited time. While the usual referral terms apply, I am particularly interested in furthering my reach with women, especially those in mid-life transition (peri- to post-menopause). I am finding more and more that while medical care has often been a bit backward in its treatment of women, this demographic (of which I belong now) is really lacking in the truly “total person” perspective they very much need and deserve. So much of modern medicine is compartmentalized when we all know how essential it is to care for a person as a whole, in body, mind & spirit!
Like myself, I find that mature women are often in desperate need of personal redevelopment, having spent most of their lives taking care of other people and putting their own needs last. As I look to reclaim and revitalize myself in this period of life, I would love to help other women do so as well. I hope to continue to build on my current knowledge and skill base with further holistic health studies to maximize my effectiveness toward that goal, and will happily share updates, new treatment options or information as I receive them. If you are already on that journey and have information or events to share, please let me know!
I also still remember all too well the struggles of motherhood and would gladly help any Moms who need a break for self-care. Mothers with infants are welcome to bring them as well if needed. We can adjust to most situations easily. This is the only group of individuals for whom I carry gift certificates all year, so feel free to ask about them if you have someone in mind.
If you haven’t seen my updated service list, please pick up a brochure or check out the services page on the website. I’m happy to tell you more about any of the options listed, and of course I highly recommend that you consider trying multiple types to see which combinations work the best for you. And remember, if you are active military or a veteran, on Social Security disability, on Medicare or Medicaid, you may take a 10% discount on any service. (I don’t automatically track this on everyone, so if this applies to you and I haven’t mentioned it, please speak up! You look so young…:) If you have your physician's referral for treatment with a diagnosis, you can request a receipt for your care costs to be reimbursed by your FSA/HSA. Let me know upfront if you would like a printed & coded receipt for your services, as I do not automatically produce them.
Thank you for trusting me on your wellness journey! I look forward to many more years of helping you and others. One last thing, thank you all so much for your patience in welcoming Bee, our new Lab. She's been a sweet bit of extra joy and comfort to all who have met her, and I can definitely say she loves you all!
